Bateman Groundworks Invests in 21 New Develon Excavators

At Pioneer Plant, we’re proud to welcome Norwich-based Bateman Groundworks to the Develon family – and what a way to start! Their investment in a fleet of 21 Develon excavators marks one of the largest single orders we’ve supplied in recent months, and it highlights their commitment to quality, efficiency, and long-term performance.

A Fleet for the Future

The first delivery saw 10 Develon DX55Z mini excavators arrive on site, captured with some fantastic drone footage as they rolled into action. These compact yet powerful machines are perfectly suited for urban construction and tight working environments, making them ideal for Bateman’s wide-ranging groundworks projects across Norfolk.

And the journey doesn’t stop there. Another 11 Develon DX85R reduced tail swing excavators are due to follow shortly, completing the 21-machine order. Together, this new fleet will give Bateman Groundworks the flexibility to handle everything from confined site jobs to larger-scale infrastructure work with ease.
