The All-New DX25Z-7: Compact, Capable, Cost-Efficient

Purpose-built for performance and ease of transport, the Develon DX25Z-7 is a zero tailswing mini excavator weighing in at just 2,691kg. It’s designed to stay under the 3.5-tonne transport threshold when paired with a breaker and multiple buckets – making it an ideal solution for rental fleets and owner-operators who need flexibility.

Powered by the proven Kubota D1305 Stage V diesel engine, this machine delivers 18.5kW (25hp) at 2600rpm, balancing strong power output with excellent fuel efficiency. Key features include:

• 2030mm boom and 1300mm arm as standard
• Heavy-duty counterweight for added stability and digging force
• Reinforced components and guards for durability in hire fleets
• Selectable hydraulic flow modes for smooth, proportional control
• Optional quick coupler piping

The DX25Z-7 is also packed with safety and operator features, including:

• ROPS/TOPS/FOPS-certified cab

A step up in size and capability, the 2.8 tonne DX27Z-7 offers new levels of performance, comfort and safety. It runs on the Kubota V1505 Stage V engine, also delivering 18.5kW at 2300rpm – with reduced vibration and noise for smoother operation.

Enhancements in this new version include:

• Larger cab entry and improved visibility
• Heated suspension seat and improved interior airflow
• Auto shift travel system for smooth motion
• Enhanced LED lighting and safety systems
• Optional additional counterweight for increased stability

Operator comfort and safety are central to the redesign, with features such as:

• Overload warning system
• Rear-view and around-view cameras
• Thumbwheel auxiliary control
• Reinforced boom and cylinder guards

It’s also designed for fast, safe transport – with improved tie-down points and a robust build that supports regular movement between job sites.

Service access is easier too, and the machine comes with My Develon telematics as standard, giving real-time diagnostics to help reduce unplanned downtime.

Beyond Diesel: Develon’s Push into Electric Excavators

Alongside these compact diesel models, Develon is also investing heavily in low-emission technology. Through a collaboration with Netherlands-based ETEC Zero Emission, Develon is introducing a new line of electric excavators, including:
