Develon Continues to Impress in Leicestershire

No strangers to the industry, we recently paid Dann Environmental Services a visit to see how they’re getting on with their growing Develon fleet and we find out why their operators rate their Develon machines.

In the industry from the age of 21, Mick Dann, set up Dann Environmental Services Ltd back in 2008. The Leicestershire based crushing and screening contractors are big in the quarrying and recycling sectors with muck shifting forming part of the business these days too.

Harsh conditions and 12 hour shifts require reliable, powerful machines, we find out whether the firms growing fleet of Develon machines stands up to the test.

Pioneer Plants Sales Director, Brian Conn explains, “We sold the UKs first Develon DX300LC-7 to Dann Environmental Services Ltd which joined their DX225LC-7. The feedback on both machines has been exceptional.”

Ben, Dann Environmental Services Ltd, Operations Manager, tell us, “We run various brands of machine day in day out but none receive the praise quite like the Develon machines. I’ve known Brian and Steve a long time but when we first invested in Develon, we looked at the future of the brand and the brand itself but what Pioneer Plant could offer us as a dealer too.” He adds, “The Develon machines are well built and driver friendly. They’ve got the power we need for long shifts but the main benefit to us is the reduced down time, which is a massive benefit being a contractor.”

Ben tells us, “We’ve been in this particular quarry for about 6 years, supplying building material to various businesses and the ongoing HS2 project so these machines are on the go 12 hours a day. The machines are operator friendly and the operators thoroughly enjoy them. The operators often comment how smooth the Develons are compared to other brands. Getting them out the machine is the hard part, which isn’t a bad problem to have”. Adding, “Working with the team at Pioneer Plant is easy. The service and parts team are super responsive which means reduced down time for us and running and maintaining the machines is simple.”
